Music and cake for Canada

A long-standing Canada Day tradition continues to offer the Cherryhill area of London a long-weekend kick-off destination.

With about 300 pieces of chocolate and vanilla Canada flag cake handed out this afternoon (June 30) to both locals and community partners, Blair Spencer and his crew of Minto Group employees undoubtedly had their hands full.

Spencer, director of operations for said group, said they are “dedicated to keeping the spirit of Cherryhill alive” by hosting the well-received event on an annual basis.

Aside from cake eating, Joan Spalding and the Foggy Mountain Band performed in front of a toe-tapping crowd.
