A Christmas tradition started 16 years ago is still going strong at Lorne Avenue Public School.
On Friday (Dec. 16), community members and students from the school enjoyed a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings. Hosted by London Inter Community Health Centre and the Cooking With Kids program, the lunch was prepared and served by local dignitaries, volunteers and representatives of various community partner agencies.
Nearly 575 dinners were dished out at the luncheon, not just to the elementary students enrolled at Lorne Park but adult ESL students and YMCA day care children in programs at the school and community sponsors, donors and supporters as well.
