Despite less than favourable weather conditions, more than 50 riders came out on Saturday morning (Oct. 13) to participate in the annual Fall Colour Ride in support of the Children’s Health Foundation.
This was the 16th year for the event, hosted by London's Hully Gully. This route this time around had riders heading out from the store’s parking lot at 11 a.m. for an approximately two-hour tour through the countryside south east of London.
“We do this every fall,” said Randy Collins, founder of Hully Gully and one of the organizers behind the event. “It is an opportunity for the bikers to get together, gather a few pledges and raise some money for the kids. Everybody has a lot of fun and it is for a good cause.”
In all, the Hully Gully Fall Colour Ride has raised more than $167,000 to date and hopes to be able to add at least another $10,000 to that total from the proceeds of this year’s event.
