London Community News
An exciting new source of community news and shopping information has arrived in London!
Metroland
Media Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Torstar Corporation, is
pleased to announce the launch of London Community News.
London
Community News is a free community newspaper that will be delivered
every Thursday to 132,000 homes. The first edition hit the streets on
Thursday, June 23, 2011.
Local editions of the newspaper will be
delivered to five neighbourhoods within the city. Each edition will
include specific news and information that affect readers who live in
those neighbourhoods. This approach will also provide London businesses
with a cost‐effective way to reach their target markets.
London
Community News will be delivered through the Starmail distribution
system, which Metroland recently acquired. Starmail has a long history
of excellent door-to-door delivery and currently delivers a vast array
of flyers to London residents.
In addition to weekly home delivery, the news never stops on www.londoncommunitynews.com.
Updates are posted as events happen to keep everyone informed about
local news, events and shopping information. The website went live on
June 16, 2011.
Meanwhile, when London residents log onto the
website, they also can take advantage of many specialty sites including
Workopolis.com, Localwork.ca, Gottarent.com and Wheels.ca.
For
shoppers, there are great deals to be had on WagJag.com, another
specialty site that can be accessed through the website. Some bargains
offer savings of greater than 50 per cent on restaurants, spas, gym
memberships and more. Subscribing is quick, easy and free! Simply log
onto WagJag.com and select the city of London.
