Update: (5 p.m., Wednesday, July 18) Police have released a composite sketch as well as a more detailed description of the suspect wanted for allegedly stealing a woman's purse at the Food Basics grocery store on Ernest Avenue on July 12.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a purse snatcher following an incident Thursday night (July 12) at the Food Basics grocery store at 1401 Ernest Ave.
A woman was with her children at the store at 10 p.m. when she was approached by a man who grabbed her purse and fled west on foot.
The suspect is described as white, in his mid to late 20s, unshaven and with a thin build. At the time of the incident he was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black baseball cap.
No one was injured during the incident and no weapon was seen.
