A tip from a member of the public helped police catch a London man accused of breaking into a home early Thursday (July 12).
Police said Nicholas Witiw, 50, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering and theft after a member of the public reported seeing a suspicious man at a Piccadilly Street address at 5:30 a.m.
The suspect was reportedly moving furniture and other property onto the residence’s front lawn and when police arrived, an inspection of the residence revealed the suspect had allegedly broken into the home.
These charges have not been proven in court.
