Pillar awards continue to shine a light on community innovation

The Pillar Community Innovation Awards shine a light on the ways in which innovation, leadership and collaboration in the nonprofit sector have made our community better. On Friday (July 13), the organization announced the finalists for its 2012 awards. In the Community Innovation Award category, the finalists are Art for AIDS International, A Book for Every Child, and The Massel-Cruickshank Breast Cancer Patient Assistance Fund. The finalists for the Community Impact Award include Beverley Thomson, London Intercommunity Health Centre, and Lucille Brennan. In the Community Leadership Award category, the finalists are Cohen Highley LLP , Diane Kelly, and Will Graham. For the Community Collaboration Award, finalists include Gerontology in Practice - Community Service Learning, London Dental Community Cares, and The Pledge. The Pillar Community Innovation Awards take place Nov. 13, at the London Convention Centre, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. The event includes a cocktail reception with hors d'oeuvres and cash bar.
