LCBO to build 70 new stores over two years

Ontarians will soon have more locations to pick up their bottles of wine or cases of beer when 70 new LCBO stores are built over the next two years.
Announced Friday (Aug. 3), this expansion will be done to offer a better shopping experience, increase product selection and enhance service for patrons.
Aside from anticipated growth, the agency also announced last year was the most successful year in the LCBO’s history, seeing a nearly five per cent increase in sales that totalled more than $4.7 billion.
The most growth was found from the sale of craft beers — totalling a nearly 45 per cent increase.
