London Community News

Police have issued an arrest warrant for a 19-year-old London man accused of attempted murder in relation to an attack where a 43-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times at 341 Hilton Ave. on Sunday evening (Aug. 12). Two men were arrested at the time of the incident but police later determined the men were not involved in the stabbing. Further investigation has resulted in Peter Caron, 18, of London being arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Police are now looking for Dean Dickieson on charges of attempted murder and assault in relation to the stabbing. He is described as white, five-foot-seven, 161 pounds and having short black hair. He was last seen wearing dark blue jeans and a white T-shirt. Police said the victim and the accused are known to each other and are warning the public not to approach Dickieson, but to instead call 911. The woman who was stabbed was treated and released from hospital. Anyone with information as to Dickieson's whereabouts is asked to call the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
