Police seeking driver involved in hit-and-run

Police are asking for the driver of a car involved in a hit-and-run that left a cyclist with injuries to his leg, hand and elbow to contact them.
The cyclist was riding southbound near the curb along Wharncliffe Road on Friday (Aug. 31) when he was struck by a southbound black car near the intersection of Wharncliffe Road and Springbank Avenue.
The man was knocked off his bicycle and a woman driving the car stopped briefly to ask the cyclist if he was OK and then left the scene.
The driver is asked to call police at 519-661-5670.
Anyone else with any information about this hit-and-run is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or anonymously via Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Police are also reminding motorists that all collisions involving any injury must be immediately reported to police.
