Putting their best foot forward
One little walker needed some help to finish the mile.
Nine-year-old Jack shows off some pink boots he dusted off for the walk.
Even some four-legged friends did their part.
The walkers turned a few heads along Richmond Street.

They put their shoulders back and marched confidently out into the afternoon sunshine donning bright red high heels, all in the name of ending violence against women.
Roughly 160 men from the community, including police, firefighters, businessmen and local politicians, took a stroll around Victoria Park Sunday afternoon (Sept. 16) for the fifth annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes fundraiser for London’s Women’s Community House.
This year’s walk raised more than $39,000 for the shelter’s programs for children.
Cheering the walkers on were roughly 250 supporters, including friends, family and bystanders, who followed the march as it wound its way from Centennial Hall south on Wellington Street to Dufferin Avenue, north on Richmond Street, to Central Avenue, and then finished back at the hall.
