Pedestrian in hospital after being struck by a car

London Community News

A 27-year-old London man remains in the hospital after suffering serious injuries when he was struck by a car while crossing a busy London road Saturday night (Sept. 15). According to the London police, the incident took place at approximately 11:45 p.m., when the pedestrian — who was wearing dark-coloured clothing and failed to use a designated crosswalk — was attempting to cross Dundas Street near Wavell Street. He was transported to the hospital, where he remains in fair condition. The London police would like to remind pedestrians to understand the importance of both the proper use of crosswalks and wearing bright-coloured or reflective clothing when out late at night in order to help ensure their safety.
