People’s assembly to be held in London Oct. 13
London Community News
Local activists and union members will be coming together Oct. 13 to confront the government’s austerity agenda and to form fight-back strategies.
The London and District Labour Council and the London Common Front-hosted event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ontario Public Service Employees Union regional office (1092 Dearness Dr.), will include key speakers, discussions and action sessions on a range on union and social justice issues. There will also be a screening of We Are Wisconsin at 6 p.m. with its director, Amy Williams, and a Wisconsin-based activist.
The event is free, but donations are being asked for to cover the expenses of the American guests.
