City spared hurricane's wrath; schools in London open today
London Community News
London residents are waking up to relative calm — unless you count the brouhaha surrounding embattled Mayor Joe Fontana — after the city was left relatively unscathed by the remnants of Hurricane Sandy.
London emergency crews were kept busy, called to various sites last night due to downed power lines as a result of fallen branches and trees. No injuries have been reported as a result of these incidents.
All school in the London are open and as of around 6:00, the severe wind warning issued by Environment Canada has ended.
