Metroland Media Peel/Southwestern Ontario is pleased to announce Carroll Publishing, which produces the St. Thomas/Elgin Weekly News, Elgin this Month and theweeklynews.ca, has joined the Metroland family. The St. Thomas/Elgin Weekly News, a weekly newspaper published every Thursday, reaches more than 30,000 homes in St. Thomas and area. Elgin This Month magazine, a monthly business-to-business publication, serves the Elgin County region. The online property, theweeklynews.ca, provides news and video from the region. These products are an excellent fit with Metroland Media Group as it is a key acquisition in Southwestern Ontario and will help us to serve the community. The newly acquired properties will become part of the Metroland Southwestern Ontario Division, reporting to Regional Publisher/Vice-President Ken Nugent and Regional General Manager Doug Rowe, who also manages London Community News. Terry Carroll will continue to run the day-to-day operations of the business as the general manager.
