London Community News

The infectious diseases outpatient clinic moved from London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) on Tuesday (Nov. 13), joining the infectious diseases care clinic at St. Joseph’s Hospital. “The addition of the Infectious Diseases outpatient clinic at St. Joseph’s Hospital is an example of how we are improving patient care through the coordination of specialized outpatient services for complex medical and chronic conditions,” said Karen Perkin, vice-president, acute and ambulatory, professional practice/ chief nurse executive, in a news release. “The culmination of restructuring is helping to support the patient’s system navigation and care, while continuing our teaching and research partnerships with others.” St. Joseph’s new, central outpatient area is located in Zone B, level 3 and features a single point of registration, bright, spacious areas, and improved patient privacy and amenities. The allergy/immunology clinic also shares the news space.
