The driver of an SUV that collided with a city transit bus early Sunday morning (Nov. 18) remains in critical condition in hospital.
At approximately 12:25 a.m., according to a police news release, a man driving the black-coloured SUV was travelling eastbound on Oxford Street at an alleged high rate of speed when he collided with a westbound bus, which was attempting to turn south on to Highbury Avenue.
The 25-year-old driver had to be extricated from the SUV and was transported to the hospital. The bus driver suffered minor injuries.
The London Police Service Traffic Management Unit has been assigned to investigative this collision.
