Ward 11 Councillor Denise Brown was sworn in on Thursday (Dec. 13) as a member of the London Police Services Board.
Brown replaced Mayor Joe Fontana, who resigned Nov. 22 after being charged with fraud by the RCMP.
“We are very pleased to have Councillor Brown join the board,” chair Michael Deeb said in a news release. “Her experience in civic politics and the local business community will be an asset to the London Police Services Board.”
Brown’s term on the board will run to Nov. 30, 2014.
She joins Deeb, vice-chair Jeannette Eberhard, Ward 13 Councillor Judy Bryant and Paul Paolatto.
