Residents reminded to recycle Christmas trees
London Community News
London residents can recycle their trees any of six depots throughout the city next week.
Drop off your tree from Jan. 2-11. The locations haven’t changed from last year:
South - Amway (Exeter Road, by White Oak Road - west end of parking lot)
South - Mitches Park (Upper Queens Avenue parking lot)
Central - St. Julien Works Yard (south end of St. Julien Street)
East - Stronach Park (Beckworth Avenue parking lot)
West - Springbank Park (west entrance parking lot by Boler Road)
North - Masonville Place (north west parking lot, by Nash Jewellers)
After Jan. 11, Christmas trees and holiday greenery can be taken to a Community EnviroDepot (check the Waste Reduction & Conservation Calendar or www.london.ca for locations and hours of operation) or held until the first green week in the spring.
You can leave your tree with the rest of your trash, but it won’t be composted.
The city is asking residents to remove all decorations, tinsel, garland and plastic plastic ties and bags before bringing the tree to one of the green depots or leaving it at the curb.
