A pair of alleged thieves was arrested in London Saturday (Jan. 5).
The OPP arrested two people in London Saturday (Jan. 5) and charged them in connection with a rash of thefts that occurred in Middlesex, Oxford, Perth and Elgin counties.
The OPP and the London Police Service recovered stolen property, including a GMC Sierra truck, after attending a Simcoe Street residence.
Paul Rayner, 39, and Melissa Gunton, 34, both of Stratford, face a number of charges and remain in police custody.
Rayner faces nine counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, one count of possession over $5,000, one count of possession, use and traffic credit card and two counts of breach of probation.
Gunton is charged with nine counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, one count of possession over $5,000 and two counts of breach of probation.
None of the charges have been proven in a court of law.
The Middlesex OPP Property Crime Unit is in the process of returning the property to the “numerous” victims.
