School board advises parents to 'maintain their supervision plans' for Friday (Jan. 10)

Parents may have to wait until the last minute before finding out if Thames Valley elementary schools will be closed on Friday (Jan. 11).
As developments unfold between the province and Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario regarding the one-day protest, decisions could come down to the wire. The province is bringing the matter before the Ontario Labour Relations Board seeking an injunction to stop the walkout.
The Thames Valley District School Board updated its website on Thursday afternoon (Jan. 9) advising parents and guardians to “maintain their supervision plans for their children” and that a “decision on whether schools will be open or closed will be made by 6 a.m. Friday.”
