Hidden gem outside of London (letter)

London Community News

Dear editor, I attended the production of Love Letters recently at Victoria Playhouse in Petrolia. It featured Michael Learned and Ralph Waite, better known as Olivia and John Walton Sr. from the 70s television show The Waltons. The audience of over 400 patrons loudly cheered when these icons walked on stage. Ralph and Michael received an even lengthier and louder standing ovation at the end of the performance. Last month, at this same theatre, I attended Country Sunshine, staring Canadian Idol finalist, Jaydee Bixby. It was brilliant. Victoria Playhouse Petrolia is a beautiful building in a delightful town. This hidden gem is less than an hour from London.
