London Community News
Thank you Mr. Fontana for undermining all of the devotion and commitment that the hard working students, parents and the educators have dedicated towards a rich and fulfilling academic career in your city.
Your comments to a group of aspiring young adults about “just having fun” and hard work being B.S. was unprofessional and completely inappropriate.
I am a parent of a first-year UWO student who (until yesterday) was proud of her choice to select London, and my alma mater, for her professional learning endeavours — now I feel she may have made a better choice elsewhere, where the civic leaders serve as positive role models.
Please stay out of my daughter’s London experience — stick to City Hall and leave the inspirational speeches for students to people who actually care about their growth and development.
If you want to be cool, learn to skateboard; just don’t talk to my kid about her education or lifestyle choices. Hopefully her classmates will see through your petty wisecracks and poor judgement.
