It was an afternoon of classic good guys versus bad guys at the Victory Legion as Classic Championship Wrestling brought their show to London on Sunday (June 24).
Featuring six local wrestlers — Ianna Titus, Cezar, Sgt. Dickson, ‘Killer’ Allan Coulter, Derek Wylde and former WWE wrestler Sean Spears — it was a chance for the small but enthusiastic crowd to get up close to the action and have an entertaining afternoon.
Kicking off the seven-bout card, fan favourite Justin Sane defeated Sebastian Suave before Shaun Sabre stole his match from John Greed.
Next up, it was the ladies turn to take to the ring with Ianna Titus and Von Dutch exchanging pleasantries.
Cody Deaner would give the fans what they wanted, putting ‘Textbook’ Tyson Dux down for the three-count, followed by Ceza managing to overcome some dirty tricks by both his opponent in the ring Dieyo Divinci and Mr Atlantis along the ropes.
There would be no mixed allegiances amongst the fans as two London wrestlers made their way into the ring next. Clearly behind ‘Killer” Allan Coulter, the crowd got what it wanted with Coulter making fairly quick work of Sgt. Dickson.
But as with all wrestling cards, it was the feature the fans had waited all afternoon to see. Originally scheduled as a match between another pair of London boys — Wylde and Spears, the contest didn’t take long in becoming a free-for-all with Deaner and ‘Tricked Out’ Tyler Tirva entering the fray as well.
After a melee that transpired both on the mat and along ringside, it was Deaner and Wylde teaming up to trounce the two beauty boys, Spears and Tirva.
