Junior Mustangs expect to make history in their inaugural season

The London Junior Mustangs Varsity football team look to remain undefeated Friday night (Jly 19) as they take on the Halton Cowboys with an 8 p.m. kickoff at TD Waterhouse stadium to give them a perfect 8-0 season. While other teams in the history of the Ontario Varsity Football League have had winning records, in recent memory, no other team has had such a remarkable turnaround season. Formerly known as the London Falcons, the Jr Mustangs burst out of the gates this year and hit their stride to improve their record from 2-6 to 7-0. Join the other 600 spectators and come out Friday night to watch the game and listen to the football chatter on how head coach Chris Bertoia is looking to cap off this incredible season with a stampede to the OVFL championship. Tickets cost $5, parking is free.
