Team Ontario captured the under-17 Baseball Canada Cup gold medal after taking down British Columbia in the tournament final at Labatt Memorial Park on Sunday (Aug. 12).
Team Ontario went a perfect eight-for-eight in the five-day tournament wrapping up the national competition against a B.C. club they had already beaten twice.

Ontario third baseman Malik Collymore, from Toronto’s Ontario Blue Jays, batted in five runs going 3-for-4 at the plate with the only triple in the game.
London Badgers’ right-hander Andrew Warner collects a gold with Ontario, relieving on the mound in three games to work for four innings and striking out seven batters.
