Sledge Team Ontario Evaluation Camp to be held in London

The Ontario Sledge Hockey Association has announced that Sledge Team Ontario (STO) is holding its annual selection camp in the Forest City on Saturday, Aug. 25.
Ice times are from 10 a.m. to noon and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Western Fair Sports Centre.
There is no cost to attend the sessions and selected players will stay in London for the first formal practice the following day (Aug. 26) at Western Fair from 10 a.m. to noon.
The Ontario Sledge Hockey Associations’ STO program was created to help provincial level sledge hockey players have an opportunity to gain added high-performance experience outside the normal league play structure with hopes of developing their skills for future national team duty.
Local players attending the camp will be Cam Sinclair (Mount Brydges), Tyler McGregor (Forest) and Chris Wood (London). The Head Coach of the program, Todd Sargeant is from London and Ted Sinclair, the team’s trainer is from Mount Brydges.
Sledge Team Ontario will participate in five training camps during the 2012/2013 season. Niagara Falls, Collingwood, Florida, Brantford and Toronto are on the current schedule.
