The Lambeth Lancers U10 boys soccer club and their supporters were in the pink for their game against London Athletic Sparta on Wednesday night (Aug. 15).
Donning pink jerseys and sporting new pink tinted hairdo’s, the team hit the field at the Lambeth Community Centre, raising both awareness and money for the Breast Care Centre at St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre London. Along the sidelines, they were also selling pink-themed baked goods, popsicles and Shirley Temple drinks, as well as holding a 50/50 draw.
Despite playing a strong second half, the Lancers were unable to erase an early goal deficit, coming up on the short side of a 7-5 final score.
