Local gets top honours at Cedar Run Rodeo

London-native Tyler Ewart finished tied for first-place out of 16 competitors in the bull riding portion of the third annual Cedar Run Rodeo Weekend in Blue Mountains, Ont. on Aug. 24 to 26. Ewart scored 77 points to share the lead with Ian Charman and walk away with a cash prize of $522.90. Additional Cedar Run Rodeo Weekend champions include Shawn Minor, from Camden, Ohio, in both bareback and saddle bronc riding; Brandon Hennings from Stouffville, Ont. in steer wrestling; Paige Van Westerop, from Lakeside, Ont., in breakaway roping; Terri Robertson, from Swartz Creek, MI, in barrel racing; Alana Pickrell, from Queensville, Ont., in junior barrel racing; and Ross Scully, from Hillsburgh, Ont., in tie down roping.
