London City in playoff desperation

London Community News

The London City Soccer Club will be looking for a big win over Niagara United to push the team into a playoff spot for the first time this season on Saturday (Sept. 8). London, sitting in 10th place in the league, will play their second last road game of the 2012 season against the 13th spot squad of the CSL. If London can pick up the three-point win, it could be possibly bring them into the top-eight and into a postseason position, depending on results from Friday matchups between eighth-place Mississauga Eagle FC against a strong York Region Shooters team and a matchup between ninth-place Brantford Galaxy and second-spot SC Toronto. London City currently sit one point behind Mississauga and Brantford, as well as seventh-place Brampton City United—who don’t play until next Friday (Sept. 14). The red and white return to London Sept. 14 to take on Mississauga in their home closer. Find us on Facebook: London Community News
