Misfits take down Derby girls

Photos by Mike Maloney/London Community News/Twitter: mdmaloneyphoto The wheels were spinning in the Western Fair District as the Forest City Derby Girls (FCDG) reprised their roles as host and home team at the Agriplex on Saturday night (Oct. 6). First onto the FCDG’s new oval were the Luscious Lunch Ladies who took on Alliston’s Misfit Militia. Falling behind early, the London ladies soon found their stride but were unable to close the early points deficit, dropping a 178-125 decision to the visiting Misfits. In the second contest of the evening, it was the hometown favourite Thames Fatales lacing up the roller skates, going toe-to-toe with the Nickel City Knockouts.
