The Regina Mundi Catholic College (RMCC) Titans added another two points to the win column at the expense of the North Middlesex District Highschool Mauraders on Wednesday afternoon.
Playing host to the Mauraders in Thames Valley Regional Athletics senior girls basketball action, RMCC wasn’t long in taking total control of the game.
Up 25-4 at the end of the first quarter, the Titans backed down the offensive and concentrated more on ball control and defence through the remainder of the contest.
Once again, Michelle Douglas was the leading scorer for RMCC with 12 points on the way to a 47-15 decision over the Mauraders.
In the junior girls pairing, the Titans were not quite as fortunate as their senior teammates. Coming off a disappointing 41-16 loss to Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary School two days before, the RMCC offence had their best game yet but couldn’t keep pace with the Mauraders big shooters. When it was all said and done, it was the North Middlesex juniors heading home with the 55-38 victory.
