Photos by Jonathon Brodie/London Community News / Twitter: @jonathonbrodie It may have rained throughout the Ontario Minor Track Association Cross Country Championships on Saturday (Oct. 27), but it didn’t damper the competitive spirit’s of the elementary school runners. More than 350 athletes, ranging from 7- to 14-year-olds, competed in the event held at Fanshawe Conservation Area with young athletes coming from different parts of Ontario. The London Legion Track and Field Alliance hosted the event and finished in the top spot as a team in the Atom Boys and Tyke Girls divisions. Local club members who left the provincial meet with a medal included MacKenzie Bilotta getting the only gold for the group in the Tyke Girls division, Camryn Steckel collecting a bronze for the Senior Girls, Teja Gatfield earning a bronze in the Mite Girls group, and Kyle Koyanagi and Michael Bilotta picking up a silver and bronze for the Atom Boys.
