Oaks head to WOSSAA

London Community News

The Oakridge Oaks only lost to the Central Golden Ghosts in the boy’s volleyball regular season and they weren’t going to be outdone again in Tuesday’s (Nov. 13) Tier 1 AAA final. The Oaks and Golden Ghosts went point for point in almost every set, but division’s top came out on top winning 25-19,23-25, 25-22, 25-17. The one lost set by Oakridge was there only defeat in the three-game playoff. “We’re coming together and that’s the whole point,” said Oaks head coach Jamie Neilson. “As long as you’re better than the day before than that’s what you want happening at this time of year.” Oakridge will play against Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute on Thursday in the Western Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association final, where the winner moves on to OFSAA.
