Historic Woodfield, voted Canada’s greatest neighbourhood, welcomed guests from across London to its streets on Saturday (June 9) to help celebrate the second annual Historic Woodfield Street Fair.
Organized by the Woodfield Community Association (WCA) with the help of over 80 volunteers, the event was a flashback to the turn of the century with live period music, Victorian style game booths, horse drawn carriage rides and more.
Designed not just to bring the neighbourhood together, the event also serves to celebrate the history of the area and “get the name out” of one of London’s historically important areas said Wes Kinghorn, chair of the WCA.
“There are a lot of great festivals here in London but we felt there was a need for something that talks about the history of the city,” said Kinghorn
