Deliciously Easy cooking classes

On Wednesday (Aug. 15), Chef Suki Kaur-Cosier welcomed the first of three groups enrolled in her Deliciously Easy cooking class at the Covent Market Garden Kitchen. Utilizing locally grown fruit and vegetables, the class learned how to make a number of simple yet delicious recipes covering the range from appetizer to desert. “The idea is, it's all hands-on,” said Kaur-Cosier explaining how the class works. “People actually get to cook not just watch me demonstrate how to make the dishes,” Some of the items they created included Caprese kabobs, a zucchini quiche with mint and feta cheese and baked peaches with cinnamon custard. Kaur-Cosier said that it is only makes sense at this time of year to learn recipes involving fresh, locally grown products and the Covent Garden Market is the perfect location for the classes. “Everything we use is right here at hand,” said Kaur-Cosier.
