Seconds ticking down to MS fundraiser

A new London store is counting the seconds until its grand opening, which will also serve as a fundraiser for the local multiple sclerosis society.
WATCH IT!, a store which sells watches, sunglasses and accessories, will open its second store in London at Masonville Mall on Sept. 15 and has pledged to donate $3 from each purchase made between its opening and Sept. 22 to the MS Society of London.
The society supports individuals living with multiple sclerosis, a disease that affects the brain and spinal cord and causes nerve signals travelling through the body to slow or stop, as well as their families.
The new store at Masonville Mall is holding the fundraiser in support of a family member from the chain’s Ottawa store who is battling the disease.
Last year, WATCH IT! stores across Canada raised $10,000 for the MS Society and the chain hopes to double that number in 2012.
Prize packs will also be given out to the first 100 customers who come to the store after 3 p.m.
