Journey of Hope Through Music

London Community News

Photos by Mike Maloney/London Community News/Twitter: mdmaloneyphoto The sounds of some of London’s finest voices filled the spaces and reverberated from the rafters of St. Paul’s Cathedral on Sunday evening (Sept. 23). The occasion was the 12th annual Journey of Hope Through Music fundraising concert featuring guest soloist, jazz soprano Sonja Gustafson, accompanied by pianist Steve Holowitz. Spearheaded by London music director and educator Judy Brown, the free-will offering event is an opportunity to raise awareness about cancer support in addition to raising money towards three cancer related organizations — Ovarian Cancer Research, Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, as well as Wellspring London and Region. Six other groups also performed various works at the Journey of Hope Through Music concert. Those performers included the Celebration Singers, Cantorion Choir, Conspirato, The Valleyview Male Chorus, Lyra Choir London and Forest City Strings. Find us on Facebook: London Community News
