Sue in the City fundraiser

Photos by Mike Maloney/London Community News/Twitter: mdmaloneyphoto It was a full house in the ballroom of the Best Western Plus Lamplighter Inn and Conference Centre on Thursday night (Oct. 11), as fall fashion trends and fashion smarts took the runway. The occasion was the Sue in the City: Live from the Runway, fashions and fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Sue Jacobs, a local wardrobe and image consultant was the driving force behind the evening. Billed as a multi media event demonstrating fashion and highlighting food and fun, the event was centred around the runway show in which Jacobs offered commentary and fashion trends advice. In addition to the fashion show, there was also a silent auction for guest to participate in featuring over $13,000 in goods and services. Guest speaker for the evening was cancer survivor and Make-A-Wish recipient Sarah O’Neill who shared her story on how her wish not only shaped her past, but continues to shape her future as well.
